UT2091A Scratch Resistance Tester is used to evaluate the shear, scratch, planing, scratching and engraving properties of materials. The equipment is simple to operate and easy to move.

Ability to test samples of squares or rounds 1/2" to 4" thick. By changing the position of the sliding weight, the load on the sample can be adjusted in the range of 0-1000g. Cutting tools can be made with either tungsten carbide tools or conical diamond heads. The reproducibility of experimental data can help manufacturers effectively control production and test the performance of products.

1.1 Before the instrument is tested, the scale rod needs to be adjusted to the appropriate height according to the thickness of the sample. Attach the tight cutting tool to the scale bar and place it on the sample. Start the instrument, and the constant speed of the turntable ensures that the test results are accurate. By varying the load of the cutting tool, it is possible to evaluate the scratch resistance of the material.

1.2. The design of the scale bar of the instrument makes it possible to be at the level of the sample and the turntable, and can be raised or lowered according to the actual needs, in addition, the scale bar can also be lifted and suspended in the air to facilitate the operator to remove the sample.

Application: The instrument is used to test rigid organic materials, coating adhesives, powder coating anodizing materials, soft metals, plastics and glass, etc., and can also be used for the adhesive quality of protective coatings of the same material and the ultimate performance test of similar materials, which is widely used in product quality control, new product development performance verification, testing agency testing and other fields.
